Gaurd Your Heart

Think about it! In these times of trouble we as children of God must guard our hearts from all manner of evil. May we remember that Jesus gave each person the power of choice by giving us a free will. Each day watch your choices, we either choose good or evil in thoughts, actions, responses and words. We are commanded in the Word to walk in love “Agape Love” 1st John 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.**I believe that Apostle John was stressing the importance of reminding the church that walking in God’s love is keeping God’s commandments. Remember this love must be discerning. It is not naive, unthinking, open to anything and anyone kind of love. Biblical love is a matter of choice; it is dangerous and foolish to go through life without discerning love. Their are many deceivers in this world who do not confess Jesus Christ who came in the flesh. Examine your choices daily, be aware of the power of choice. Walk in a pure love of God discerning between evil and good. Watch your words, your reactions to people’s words and know as you stand for truth you are always just one step from falling. God’s love is truth and it rises up in us to fight the good fight of faith. His love has no fear of man and will contend for faith in the Word of God. As Christians in this time we have a great challenge before us to speak truth in Agape Love. In the book of Jude we are also reminded to contend for the faith. We have the choice to speak out for truth or to be silent. Don’t think that if you speak out your not walking in love and may hurt someone. The church has to understand by looking at Jesus who spoke nothing but truth in true love did not hold back in His faith in His Father’s will to done on earth. Yes, it cost Him, His life but expressed the greatest love of all that people could choose good over evil and be spared an eternity in hell. Speak Word of God!
