Taste and See That the Lord is Good

Think about it!     I Peter 2:3-5
Verse 3 – to taste means to experience the thing tasted.
Matt 13:20 – to have been saved
Things tasted by the Spirit:
1.  The Lord  Ps 34:8
2.  Word of God  Ps 119:103
3.  Heavenly gift  Heb 6:4
4.  Powers of the world to come – eternal life in Heaven
The Lord is gracious – 8 facts about God:
1.  He is gracious.  Ex 34:6
2.  A living stone – the only foundation of the church.  Isa 28:16
3.  Chosen or elected of God – to be the Savior of the world.  John 3:16
4.  Disallowed of men.  Ps 118:22
5.  He is precious and dear.  Luke 7:2
6.  The Chief corner stone.  Isa 28:16
7.  The stumbling stone.  Ps 118:22   I Peter 2:8   Rev 2:14
8.  A rock of offense. Isa 8:14
