God Never Loses A Battle

Think about it !  Triumphant – to get the better of after a hard struggle; complete victory
II Cor 2:14 First crucial characteristic of true gospel ministry – triumphant. God never loses a battle!
Holy Spirit – chose this characteristic to be first.
I Sam 17:47  And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s and He will give you into our hands…
Don’t get a “grin and bear it attitude.
Danger comes when we try and fight the enemy in our own strength.
Bible does not say we are always triumphant but that Christ always leads us in Triumph! Col 2:15  Christ triumphing over all evil
Christ will always lead us to victory if we truly follow Him. Paul – valued Christ’s presence over all. He never got over his sense of unworthiness.
The cross of Christ divides men into 2 camps
-The ones being saved
-The ones perishing
Because of Christ’s death those who are being saved are a sweet savor to God – a sacrifice to Him – one who yields to the gospel.
Ones who resist are hardened.  Rejecting the gospel leads to eternal separation from the God who can save. Receiving the gospel leads to eternal life.
What is the key? Willingness to be conquered.  Christ has only one weapon – the cross.
We become free by becoming captives of the Mighty Conqueror!  God’s blessings are enjoyed fully only by those who are total captives of God.
