A Matter of the Heart

Think about it! Life in Jesus is always a matter of the heart! Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart so is he. As I was reminded of this the Holy Spirit led me to Matt. 24:36-39 *verse 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. ** You all know the story the people were not wanting truth they were going about their daily business without God in mind. Only Noah’s heart was after God. There were two floods at that time. A flood of evil and then the flood of water. Look at the heart of Noah. Faithful and obedient as well as grateful to God in the midst of overwhelming evil. His assignment was quite challenging; wouldn’t you say! 120 years and only a love for God could have kept him going in consistent obedience. Have you been thinking the evil we live in is similar to his day? God protected him and his family not from trouble but took care of him and his family in the midst of it. Gen.6:22 This Noah did; according to all God commanded him, so did he. **He guarded his heart from the evil times he lived in and kept the faith. He preached and only his family were saved. The intent of his heart had to be pure. Prov. 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. “Our responsibility” think about Noah. What great faith he had in God along with courage and reverent fear of God. He endured and what a blessing, his whole family was saved. Don’t give up, even if evil increases we can’t lose faith in Christ. Finish this race and remember the one in you is greater than the one in the world. Remember it is a heart matter. What an example Noah was and Jesus said in the end days we will have the same evil world. If Noah made it by keeping his heart faithful to God and obedient to His command; so can we make it through whatever a day brings. Know the condition of your own heart! Keep preaching as Noah did; even when they don’t want to hear it! Amen
