The Enemy Brings Apathy

Think about it! The Lord made me aware that in this COVID lockdown, we have be aware of the enemy's strategy against us. His great desire is to bring us into apathy. Little by little we can be rocked to sleep spiritually. Look at the meaning of ease-comfortable. Amos 6:1 Woe, to them that are at ease in Zion. Then we look at the word complacent- self-satisfaction, unaware of dangers and unconcerned. “Comfortable” Has anyone heard the voice saying not going to church - watching it on TV isn’t so bad? Here comes apathy to take over- it means lack of feeling or emotion, lack of interest and indifferent. Many in the church are falling into a spiritual slumber and heading toward the giant called apathy. Sound the alarm in Zion. Apostle Paul said I Tim. 6:6 Godliness with contentment, is great gain. Contentment in Christ means an internal satisfaction which doesn’t demand external circumstances. During this time we need to be on watch because there is a fine line between this type of contentment and complacency. Pray for the Lord to keep you awake in your spirit at all times. His disciples didn’t listen at the most critical time of their life as Jesus went into the garden to pray; they slept at ease not recognizing the danger. This is one lesson I have learned during this time. I have Godly contentment but Jesus made me aware of what the enemy would want to do during this time. Look at so many in the world having an ungodly contentment, setting at home being paid by the government and many are making more now than they did, how easy to become at ease and not see the danger that lies ahead! Matt. 26:41 Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak. Know your own spiritual condition. Stay awake this isn’t over! Jesus is coming; so we need to live ready to meet him. Amen!
