Divine Grace

Think about it! Today I have been focusing on 2 Cor. 12:9-10. We must remember that no matter what the Lord allows us to live through His amazing grace is available to us. Let us look at these two verses in the Amplified Version. Verse 9- But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving kindness and mercy) is enough for you (sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully); for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in your weaknesses. Therefore I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me. Verse 10 So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities, and distresses; for when I am weak (in human strength) then am I truly strong (able, powerful) in divine strength. ** This gives a great description of divine grace in verse 9. And in verse 10, I looked up the word pleasure in the Greek and it means to think well of, now ask yourself as I am; why would anyone take pleasure in these things He listed or in the pandemic? He had learned that if Jesus who controls all things allowed this in his life there had to be an eternal purpose and that His Lord's grace would be sufficient and the Lord's power would be available to get him through. Do we think like this in the middle of a pandemic? Jesus did not take the thorn from Paul, it was allowed to protect him from pride (an eternal purpose) it humbled him. We need to think on this and pray remembering Gods Word is His wisdom in Christ. If we think like this then the Lord will be glorified by our behavior. Each of us must hear from God during this season for everyone’s circumstances are different. We need to remember Grace and mercy and praise Him all the day long. If we apply this Word in our life, we can overcome by faith whatever we face. Remain obedient to truth and trust Him to get us through this and bring us closer to Him. For His sake alone walk it out in agape love for one another. Matt.11:29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls.30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. **We should come through this knowing Jesus even more. Amen
