The Precious Character of Faith

Think about it!   He compares faith to gold!  Gold is precious but not as precious as faith. Gold will one day vanish, faith is eternal.  Faith is what we walk by and God wants it pure.  You purify gold by fire so if you have to do that with a precious substance that perishes then how much more with an eternal substance?
Faith links people to God.
Faith keeps people from Hell and leads them to Heaven.
Faith brings a dead man to life.
It is so precious, God wants it perfect (Holy)!
There are degrees of faith. There are differences in the quality of faith.  Faith is many-sided.
Just when we think our faith our faith is perfect a trial comes and we fail.  Why? It shows the trust element of our faith needs to be developed. (fail = doubt)
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord.  Even though He slay me, yet shall I trust Him.
The trial of your faith – the attestation of it – to keep on in spite of it all; enduring to the end; not wavering.
